Over the years, our clients have asked us repeatedly whether we are also able to provide our services to their parent company in Germany. The reason for the demand is simple: the requirements on cross-border business transactions do not only impact subsidiaries, but parent entities are also increasingly effected by the repercussion on them.

One of the most obvious examples is transfer pricing. For many corporations, calculating and documenting these transactions correctly between parent and foreign subsidiary has become a Herculean effort that is littered with pitfalls, along with utilising significant resources.

We are therefore all the more pleased to announce that InterGest Germany has obtained the status of certified tax consultancy (“anerkannte Steuerberatungsgesellschaft”) in July 2020. The firm has been operating in Hamburg since 2016, and InterGest Steuerberatungsgesellschaft mbH has been offering its services and vast experience with domestic and international transactions to its clients.

Certification as a German tax consultancy firm enables us to provide a holistic service to our international clients, starting with the parent entity, through to the foreign subsidiaries, and back again. After all, consultants can only fully and comprehensively evaluate issues such as transfer pricing, profit transfers, secondments and global remuneration, if their knowledge of the corporate structures is all encompassing.
